Oracle Introduces AI Security Mesh Powered by OpenAI
Oracle Corporation announced in a press release Oracle AI Security Mesh, a security service powered by cyber models from OpenAI. The service can examine applications and infrastructure in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, other clouds, and customer data centers.
Oracle AI Security Mesh uses customer provided context and Oracle testing tools to identify vulnerabilities, assess their severity, and evaluate proposed fixes. It provides evidence such as reproduction steps and test results. Customers must approve remediation changes before the service applies them, while each agent receives a distinct identity, defined task scope, and temporary permissions.
Oracle also detailed security controls for identity and network access. OCI Identity Assurance uses biometric checks to verify people approving sensitive actions, while OCI Zero Trust Packet Routing enforces policies that specify which resources can communicate and access protected data.
