Generative Bionics Plans European Robot Training Network With AMD

Oct 21, 2026
Generative Bionics plans three Physical AI Data Factory sites to train its GENE.01 humanoid, starting with a 5,000-square-metre hub in Italy, on AMD Helios systems.

Generative Bionics announces in a press release plans for a network of three facilities that will train and validate industrial humanoid robots. The first, a 5,000 square metre hub in Italy, is scheduled to begin operating by the fourth quarter of 2027.

The company plans a second facility elsewhere in Europe and a third for global markets. The sites will recreate industrial environments where fleets of its GENE.01 humanoid robot can perform tasks and collect vision, motion, contact, force, proximity and temperature data.

Digital twins will reproduce the environments and test tasks across thousands of variations. Models trained in simulations will return to physical robots for validation, while data from deployed robots will feed later training cycles.

AMD will provide Helios computing systems for processing physical and synthetic data, training models and running simulations in parallel. AMD Ventures invested in Generative Bionics' seed round, and AMD compute runs on board GENE.01.
