TD Bank Introduces AI Credit Tool That Drafts Memos in Under 30 Minutes

Oct 23, 2026
TD Bank has introduced Credit Assist, an AI tool that prepares first drafts of commercial credit analyses in under 30 minutes. More than 300 credit professionals will use the tool to process documents and draft six sections of each credit memo.

TD Bank Group's U.S. business introduced Credit Assist, an AI tool that reduces the preparation time for a first draft commercial credit analysis from up to three working days to under 30 minutes, according to ROI-NJ.

Credit Assist processes information from 20 to 30 deal documents across more than 50 document types. Specialized AI agents extract, analyze and organize the information, then produce cited drafts for six sections of a credit memo. Credit professionals can question, verify and revise the drafts before underwriting.

More than 300 TD credit professionals will use the tool. They prepare over 10,000 credit memos each year. TD tested Credit Assist on 220 curated deals with input from more than 70 subject experts, and 95 percent of evaluated outputs passed expert review.
