Teleste Adds Acapela AI Voices to Rail Passenger Platform

Teleste said in a press release that it has integrated Acapela Group's AI text to speech technology directly into its S-ARRIVE passenger information platform. The system provides audio and visual information on trains, trams and metros.

S-ARRIVE synchronizes spoken and visual messages, including next stop information, service changes and disruption notices. The embedded AI voices can adapt pronunciation for local station names and transport terms.

Operators can use the integration to generate passenger announcements as service conditions change. Teleste says the improved voice quality and intelligibility can also make information more accessible alongside visual messages.
