Watchtower Labs emerged from stealth with $35 million in seed financing, the company announced in a press release. Shield Capital and Conviction led the round, with participation from Founders Fund.

The Seattle company is building AI tools that model possible operational outcomes and help military planners compare options. Its initial application focuses on logistics planning across transport, spare parts, fuel, munitions, routes and timing. Users can ask questions in plain language and review the assumptions and tradeoffs behind generated plans.

Watchtower partnered with the Naval Postgraduate School in 2025 to inform the system through operations research, defense data and input from practitioners. The Defense Innovation Unit selected the company for its Joint Sustainment Decision Tool program in January 2026. Watchtower will use the funding to expand its team, add applications and continue testing and deployment.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
