Zocdoc Opens Healthcare Booking Infrastructure to AI Agents
Zocdoc is expanding its Care Access Network for booking through AI and search platforms by opening its healthcare booking infrastructure to registered AI agents, the company said in a press release. It also partnered with Instinct, allowing the AI agent to find verified providers, check insurance acceptance and book confirmed appointments directly into provider calendars.
Agents can connect through Zocdoc's MCP server, REST API, llms.txt guidance and deep links. Zocdoc requires participating agents to identify themselves, obtain explicit patient consent before booking and protect patient and provider data.
Zocdoc's network covers more than 200,000 verified providers, over 10,000 insurance plans and more than 175 scheduling integrations. Traffic to Zocdoc from AI agents has grown nearly 30 times since July and, on average, doubled about every 10 days since early September.
