Fractile Raises About £577 Million in Series C for AI Inference Chips
Fractile allotted about £577 million (around $774 million) in Series C preferred shares between September 9 and October 23, according to Tech Funding News. Nine Companies House filings show that the shares were paid for in cash, with no outstanding amounts.
The financing follows earlier talks to raise about $600 million at a $6.5 billion valuation. Anthropic has placed an initial $250 million chip order with Fractile, according to Bloomberg.
Fractile designs chips for AI inference that keep data close to the transistors performing calculations. The company has not shipped a production chip and expects to deploy its hardware in data centres in 2027.
