IREN Plans 300 MW AI Data Center in Spain
IREN announced in a press release that it established IREN Europe and secured a civil works license for a planned 300 MW AI data center campus in Badajoz, Spain. Initial operations are targeted for 2028.
IREN has secured grid connected power for the project. The campus is designed with closed loop liquid cooling and for compatibility with the NVIDIA DSX AI Factory Platform.
The company plans to offer AI cloud and managed services from the site. With its completed acquisition of Mirantis, IREN says its software, including k0rdent AI, can manage AI infrastructure and provide workload isolation and controls for data residency, security and governance.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
