Rulen raises €1.8 million for AI tax and accounting platform
Rulen raised €1.8 million in its first funding round, according to Tech.eu. VC Partners led the round, with participation from Growth Engine, AME Ventures, Zest through its Magic Mind vehicle, Alpha Venture and industry business angels.
The Italian startup, formerly called LexSA, provides an AI platform that automates tax and accounting workflows. It connects with existing software and external systems, including the Italian Revenue Agency's Cassetto Fiscale, to collect data, review information and produce documents while professionals retain oversight.
Rulen will use the funding for product development, commercial growth and hiring across sales, marketing and product roles. It also plans to add tax specialists and develop AI agents that can execute more accounting and compliance tasks.
