FORT Robotics Gets $20 Million in Investor Commitments
FORT Robotics has secured approximately $20 million in new investor commitments, according to a company press release. Tiger Global is leading an approximately $10 million financing, with participation from Mark Cuban Companies, that is expected to close this week.
Tiger Global also committed another $10 million to the common equity PIPE connected with FORT Robotics' proposed merger with Newbury Street II Acquisition Corp. The commitments bring total capital connected with the transaction to more than $50 million. The combined company expects to list on Nasdaq as FORT Robotics Holdings under the ticker FROB, subject to regulatory approval.
FORT Robotics plans to use the capital to expand its team and operating capacity, including work with customers in warehousing, defense and construction. Its safety platform is deployed across more than 19,500 units for over 600 customers.
